Dave calls the cops to see if they can find the suspects who stole his wallet, but with no luck. so Dave returns home to find that his thoughts of toph being dead on the couch, killed by the babysitter, were proved false as he carried toph to his bedside, still breathing. He then found the babysitter asleep in his room, and he payed hime and then sent him on his way. He went back down to the kitchen to get something eat and, ironicaly, found his wallet laying on the kitchen counter.

continuing from the last blog update, dave is at the bar with his old high school friends and reconizes one them, so he goes to talk to her. They end hitting it off and decide to go down to a beach near by to have sex, but are interupted when a group of mexican punks pull their blanket off them and his wallet gets lost/stolen in the process of the prank. he yells at them and attempts to escourt them to the police station nearby, but one punk kicks him in the nuts and they escape in two getaway cars.

in the next update of my book, Toph gets a babysitter while dave edggers goes out to a bar with a couple of friends. but while driving out to the bar, he imagines the babysitter cutting Toph's body into pieces while he's at the bar. despite his imagining, he goes to the bar anyway

In this chapter Dave describes the cleaning situation within their new home, but since dave is in his early 20's and Toph is around 10 years old, they both don't have much experience with cleaning, so they try to clean as little as possible, leaving all kinds of garbage around the house that starts to pile up. Dave also explains that they both can't cook very well and so they mostly get takeout, and the few times they do eat at home, the food is limited to things like hot dogs, grilled cheese, chicken, and baby carrots. Dave also makes a list of the few foods he knows how to make and their ingredients.

In the couple chapters i read, Dave and Toph had decided to move out of their sister and her friend's house because they figured it would be chaos between siblings if they all lived next to eachother. So then they both set out to find a house, and after a while, they finally found a suitable home for the two of them.

After Dave Egger's (the main character's name)father had died of lung cancer, his mother died shortly after of stomach cancer. so he, his sister Beth, and his little brother Toph, sold most of the belongings in the house, bought two new cars, and drove out to an apartment in California where his girlfriend, Kristin and Beth's friend would live with them.

i didn't get a chance to get very far in my book since my last post, and the book is still somewhat confusing to me, but here goes. It seems that the main character's father has died. but it's weird because after the funeral, they held a party at his house.
